Ayodhya, India : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to mark a historic moment in Ayodhya on November 25, 2025, by hoisting the national flag atop the Ram Temple, coinciding with the announcement of the temple’s completion. The event will take place on the auspicious occasion of Ram Vivah Panchami and is expected to resonate globally.
Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, said that the Prime Minister envisions the Ram Temple not just as a national landmark but as an international symbol of faith. “It is the Prime Minister’s dream that people from all regions, communities, and ideologies recognize this temple’s significance. Witnessing this dream take shape brings immense satisfaction,” he added.
The flag hoisting will feature a 21-foot flag atop the temple spire. The responsibility for deciding its design, color, and emblem has been entrusted to Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.

This historic occasion follows key milestones in the temple’s construction: the groundbreaking (Bhoomi Poojan) performed by PM Modi on August 5, 2020, and the installation of Ram Lalla in the grand sanctum on January 22, 2024, where the Prime Minister acted as the chief officiant for the Prana Pratishtha ceremony.
The celebrations will extend from November 21 to November 25, featuring Vedic rituals performed by scholars from Ayodhya and Kashi, ensuring the ceremonies adhere to traditional sanctity. With the flag hoisting and temple inauguration, PM Modi is expected to send a global message about the completion of the Ram Temple, cementing Ayodhya’s position as a spiritual and cultural landmark.
